Spare cash changes lives

Everybody has it, spare cash that collects in a can, a jar or even a car ashtray. Much of it is change and some of it is paper. All of it can be used to change the lives of women and babies in crisis situations.

Stanton Healthcare is harnessing this almost unnoticed resource with its annual Church Baby Bottle Drives. Since November, seven churches have participated and raised funds for Stanton’s mission of serving women and families in the Treasure Valley.

To date, North Valley Baptist, Cloverdale Church of God, Star Community Church, Calvary Chapel Boise, Vineyard Christian Fellowship, Boise Valley Christian Communion and Capital Christian Center have sponsored Baby Bottle Drives and at least three other churches are in the process of setting dates.

“Partnering with local churches for the Stanton Baby Bottle Drives is such a huge blessing,” said Stanton founder Brandi Swindell. “Not only does it provide important financial support. It also raises awareness about our center. When Pastors and churches support Stanton, it builds a spiritual wall of protection around us.”

“Every church that stands with Stanton holds a very special place in our heart. Together, we are saving lives.”

The process is simple.
• The church pastor announces the Baby Bottle Drive and plays a 3-minute video explaining the process works.
• Stanton volunteers and staff pass out baby bottles to the congregation after the service.
• The church gives reminders from the pulpit each of the next two weeks.
• Congregation members fill the bottles with checks, cash or change and bring them to church in three weeks.
• On that third week, Stanton volunteers and staff collect the bottles from the church.

It’s that easy and – best of all – it helps women and families in desperate need without affecting any of the church’s tithing or other offerings.

Churches of all sizes and denominations can participate and use a seemingly small resource to impact lives in a tangible way. Stanton offers all of its services – Early Detection Pregnancy Testing, Ultrasounds, Sexual Integrity Programs, Maternity & Baby Supplies, etc. – free of charge and is supported primarily by believers who are putting their faith into action.

During these challenging economic times, your help and financial support is needed more than ever.
